Rutland Plastics has been in the plastics business for over 65 years.
We certainly look different today from when the company first started out injection moulding in back in 1956. We have grown significantly over the years with new facilities, more employees and more customers. However, the business is still privately owned by the same family, with the third generation in charge, and still based in Oakham in Rutland.
We offer a full range of plastic injection moulding services. Free advice and design support is offered to ensure your part is optimised for injection moulding, including the use of Moldex3D technology. We have an in-house 3D printing and prototyping service which uses the toughest 3D printed materials ever created to produce fully functional prototypes, jigs, fixtures and End of Arm Tooling. Our in-house toolroom offers cost-effective mould-making and tooling services no matter what your requirements.
Injection moulding is in our DNA, we have an extensive range of moulding machines on site and so have the capability to produce mouldings from 1g to 48Kg in weight and up to 1.5m in size. We have also been involved in the electrofusion methods of joining plastic pipes for many years and as a result of our expertise and research have patented one of these processes. We also have the expertise, flexibility and facilities to add the finishing touches required through a suite of additional services such as machining, assembly and warehousing.
We were awarded Investors in People back in 1995 and have Sedex accreditation. We also hold the following:
- Quality Management ISO9001:2015
- Medical Devices Quality Management ISO13485:2016
- Environmental Management ISO14001:2015
We are committed to the adoption and promotion of sustainability principles across all company processes.
